Silence

To be silent and utterly alone with myself

can be frightening

until I realize that silence draws me gently into

the very depth of myself.

Until I know that letting go of words

draws me into the one word made flesh

To be silent alone

is to discover a new depth within.

To be silent with others

is to go into a greater depth together.
